AVIVA AD800 ASI-To-IP Demultiplexer
Aviva’s AD800 is a professional DVB-ASI digital demultiplexer. It is a hardware-based, high-performance ASI-to-IP equipment.
Programs tranmitted on the satellite are multiplexed in MPTS format. Professional class satellite receiver receives the MPTS programs and outputs them through an ASI port. When the MPTS stream is connected to the AD800, AD800 will demultiplex it, filter the PIDs and packages the SPTS streams in UDP over IP packets. They can be transmitted in unicat or multicast packets. AD800’s powerful processors can process many programs in real-time to present the original programs in IP format.
AD800 is 1U high and it supports up to 8 ASI inputs and two GbE ports. It can demultiplex up to 120 programs in real-time. It can be used as a multicast server for MPEG-2 programs, or it can be used as a program source for real-time transcode equipment to transcode MPEG-2 to H.264 or WMV. IPTV service does not handle MPTS programs. AD800 converts the MPTS programs to multiple SPTS programs. It is a key equipment for the IPTV application. AD800 can be easily managed over the web remotely. The user interface is straight forward. The performace is stable and excellant.
